Osakuntasali ballroom

The Osakuntasali ballroom is located in Student House B (Ylioppilastalo B). All TYY organisations and individual members can reserve it for their events. The room is suitable for activities such as sitz parties, orchestra rehearsals and large meetings. All events held at Osakuntasali must end before 11 pm.

Making a reservation

Currently, the rates for reserving Osakuntasali are as follows:

To make a reservation, click on "Add event" at the bottom of this page and fill in the form. You will get an email when your reservation is confirmed. This may take a couple of days, so please make your reservations as early as possible.

You can pick up the keys and sign the rental agreement at the TYY Service Point during service hours.

Room specifications

The Osakuntasali ballroom is 66 m2 in area. There are seats and tables for 65 people, which makes Osakuntasali an excellent venue for events such as sitz parties. The walls are decorated with coats of arms from different regions of Finland. There is a large refrigerator on the premises, and renters may also use the shared kitchen, as long as they show consideration for others who use it.

Sitz parties and other noisy activities must end by 10 pm, and everyone must be out of the building by 11 pm.

Accessibility

Entry to the Osakuntasali ballroom from Rehtorinpellonkatu is almost completely accessible. The entrance has a threshold of about 3 cm, and the exterior door has no automation. You can move around reasonably well with assistive equipment in the Osakuntasali ballroom and the rest of the building. There is no accessible toilet.
