Sustainable Development Week 2022
The Sustainable Development Week is coming again in 3.10.-7.10.2022!
How do companies take the climate, environment and human rights into consideration in their activities? Do stores offer responsibly produced clothing? How about laptops or phones?
These are the questions to which we are trying to find answers in autumn 2022, as sustainable development themed weeks are organised in nine university campuses. We can expect interesting discussions, workshops, seminar, excursion and the legendary Flea Market appro.
The goal is to challenge students to change their consumer habits in a more responsible direction , and to promote responsible consumer decisions also within student organisations and universities.
If you participate to three or more events during the week you get the Sustainability Week´s official overall patch!

Going hungry? A panel discussion on the impact of the climate crisis on global food security 4.10. at Zoom
Everyone has a basic human right to sufficient, safe and nutritious food every day. However, the global climate crisis presents a grave threat in many ways, with heatwaves, droughts and floods currently undermining the food security of millions of people, particularly in Africa, Asia and Central and South America. And through extreme weather events, among other things, the climate crisis can also worsen conflicts.
Is it even possible to eat ethically and ecologically? Why do nearly 700 million people not have enough to eat, despite there being more than enough food for everyone in the world? These questions will be addressed in a panel discussion with Fairtrade Finland experts to be held on Tuesday, 4 October from 2 to 3.30 pm. To register, click on this link (opens in a new tab).
