Wings are a part of the Student Union and their goal is to make the Student Union a better place for everyone. In the Wings, you have the freedom to create new free time activities for students and to take care of students’ interests. The Wings are based on five different themes: development cooperation, environment, equality, culture and internationality. We are now looking for members to the core teams of the wings. The core team is responsible for the Wing operations and will choose the chair persons amongst themselves.
We are looking for members of Wing Core teams for the 2022-2023 academic year as follows:

Development Cooperation Wing
- plans and carries out TYY’s development cooperation projects with TYY’s development cooperation sector
- promotes the UN’s sustainable development goals in the Student Union
- organises different kinds of development cooperation themed events and TYY’s sustainable development week together with the Environmental Wing
Environmental Wing
- promotes and supervises environmentally friendly procedures among the students and in the Student Union, the university and the society
- organises environmental training for TYY’s organisations
- organises CleanVappu campaign in the spring and organises TYY sustainable development week together with the Development Cooperation Wing in autumn
- updates TYY's environmental programme and environmental guide and follows their implementation at all levels
Equality Wing
- promotes and supervises equality and accessibility at the Student Union and the university, highlights the diversity of students
- organises events that are connected to equality
- communicates about accessibility and equality issues
International Wing
- promotes actively internationalisation, tolerance, and multiculturalism on campuses
- cooperates with TYY’s organisations and other international organisations to create events that advance the Wing’s goals
- suggests annually the winner of TYY International Award to the Executive Board
Culture Wing
- promotes the traditions of student culture and creates new traditions
- organises events that are in line with TYY values for students
- Helps the TYY executive board member reponsible for culture and the event producer to plan and organise traditional events
We expect the applicants to have motivation and enthusiasm for the task and the ability to work in a group. You can apply for several Wings but become selected only in one Wing. The members of the core team will organize, divide tasks and responsibilities together.
Students in Pori and Rauma campus can also apply for the wings.

TYY Executive Board will go over the applications and choose the Wing members in their meeting in 25.11.
