TYY seeks one deputy member to the Steering Group for the Centre for Education and Research on Social and Health Services (Sote-akatemia) for the term beginning ending 31 Jul 2024.
The Centre for Education and Research on Social and Health Services of the University of Turku provides knowledge and eduvation concerning the integration of social and healthcare services. It brings togheter the the expertise of all the Faculties of the University. The Centre for Education and Research on Social and Health Services is a central actor in development of multidisciplinary education in the University.
The Steering Group is not a decision-making body. It's primary role is to discuss and handle issues concerning the Centre for Education and Research on Social and Health Services and its Board. Member of the Steering Group represent all Faculties.
The Steering Group meets two time in a semester to discuss issues concerning both education and research.
Search for the deputy member will begin on Wednesday, 16 Nov 2022. One may stand as a candidate for membership in theSteering Group by filling an electronic form found at TYY website (www.tyy.fi) by Monday, 28 Nov 2022 at 23.59. The Specialist for Academic Affairs will draft a proposal for TYY Executive Board on the elected. TYY Executive Board will make the decision on student representatives in September.
In the election of student representatives to the Steering Group, attention will be paid, for example, on previous experience from associations, from the administration of higher education institutions and from interest promotion, on motivation and commitment to the task, on balanced representation of faculties, departments and programs and balanced gender distribution in the organ.
According to TYY’s regulation, people with the right to complete a lower university degree, higher university degree, licentiate or doctoral degree, specialist degree in medicine or degree in dental science in the University of Turku are eligible for application. The eligible applicants must also be registered as present in the university. Those with a full-time employment with the university are not eligible, as defined in the election rules of the University of Turku.
According to TYY's Regulation on the election of student representatives, the number of posts of student representatives in the administration is limited to three posts per person. This entry is intended to ensure balanced distribution of the posts of student representatives in the administration.
