The student union of the University of Turku has committed to donating 0.7 percent of its annual budget to development cooperation and humanitarian aid. The amount is divided between the two organizations, and this year the amount to be donated is 2,737 euros per organization. The grant must be used for 2023 operations.
In 2023, half of the 0.7% share will be donated to the joint project of TYY and Huussi ry in Zambia. TYY is now looking for another donation destination for 2023. The donation is to be directed to help Ukraine, which has become the target of a war of aggression.
The project we are looking for must meet the following criteria:
- The project focuses on humanitarian or development aid to Ukraine
- The donation can be specifically allocated to Ukraine
- The project supports the UN Agenda 2030 goals
- The project takes into account the groups in the weakest position in society
- Project reporting is verifiable
