TYY is searching for a deputy member to the Board of the Centre for Language and Communication Studies (CLCS) for the term ending on 1 Sep 2024.
The Centre for Language and Communication StudiesThe Centre for Language and Communication Studies of the University of Turku is an autonomous institution directly under the central administration of the university. The Director and the CLCS Board are responsible for the activities, development and administration of the institution. All faculties of the university are represented in the Board.
Search for student representatives will begin on Monday 15 May 2023. One may stand as a candidate for membership in the Board of the Centre for Language and Communication Studies by filling an electronic form found at TYY website (www.tyy.fi) by Thursday 25 May 2023 at 23.59. After the application period ends, the Specialist for Academic Affairs will prepare a proposal on the elected to the TYY Executive Board. The election of the new student representatives to the Board of the Centre for Language and Communication Studies will be made by the TYY Executive Board in June.

In the election of student representatives, attention will be paid, for example, on previous experience of promoting student interests in student organisations and the administration of higher education institutions, balanced representation of faculties, departments or subjects and balanced gender distribution in the organ.
According to TYY’s regulation, people with the right to complete a lower university degree, higher university degree, licentiate or doctoral degree, specialist degree in medicine or in dental science in the University of Turku are eligible for application. The eligible applicants must also be registered as present in the university. Those with a full-time employment with the university are not eligible, as defined in the election rules of the University of Turku.
According to TYY's Regulation on the election of student representatives, the number of posts of student representatives in the administration is limited to three posts per person. This entry is intended to ensure balanced distribution of the posts of student representatives in the administration.
