Collegium Musicum Turku 20 annual concert

Ajankohta
-

Collegium Musicum Turku, the symphony orchestra of the University of Turku, dates to the 1920s, when the Collegium Musicum Turkuense orchestra began its operations. Its operation continued until the 1990s. In 2004, the orchestra was restarted by Markus Yli-Jokipii, and since then the Campus Chamber Orchestra has gradually grown to symphonic dimensions. The current conductor Satu Simola has led the orchestra since 2013.

The orchestra's repertoire focuses on offering its players wonderful symphonic experiences on a wide scale, in addition to studying and working life. In addition, smaller ensembles made up of CMT musicians perform at private events.

CMT celebrates the 20th year of its current operation by organizing a gala concert in the Sigyn hall on November 23. 2024. We thank the Varsinais-Suomi Regional fund of the Finnish Cultural Foundation for the help in organizing the concert!

Welcome to listen and enjoy!
