Sunday 3.11. at 15-20 celebrates the opening ceremony of the Turku Academic Animal Rights Society's tenth year event "Perspectives on animal relations – Nummi as an intermediate space between art and research"!

Perspectives on the relationship with animals is a set of events lasting the whole of November 2024, which deals with the social, cultural and private relationship with animals through art and research. The goal of the event is to offer diverse and thought-provoking perspectives on the relationships between humans and other animals.

The whole is a significant addition to the cultural offer of Nummi, Student Village and eastern Turku in general and opens interesting discussions about animal rights and social interactions.

The set of events is also more generally related to sustainable development and environment-related research and environmental protection. Our relationship with animals and how we interact with animals of another species has a very large impact on how big our impact is on the rest of nature.

The events are organized in the former home care office in Nummi library building. The events are organized in the former home care office in Nummi library building. The city of Turku handed over the space for use as part of The intermediate space model for culture flagship project, which ”promotes the working conditions of artists, increases the use of temporarily empty spaces in Turku, and creates a new and surprising urban culture”.

During the entire month of the event, the Akateos art club's exhibition and cafe are in the space, and we are open from Wednesday to Sunday from 15:00 to 20:00.
