Apply to be a student representative in the Educarium facility program’s working group for the facility arrangements

TYY seeks student representatives for the Educarium facility program’s working group for the facility arrangements for the Spring of 2025. The task of the working group is to plan campus facility arrangements so that they would best serve the needs of the university community. Working group meets once per month in the form of workshops. To prepare for the workshops, attendees might be sent material and possible assignments in advance. Next two meetings of the working group are scheduled to be on 30.1.2025 and 27.2.2025. We hope to receive applications from all the faculties to have more diverse perspectives on the issue.

Application period for the student representatives will begin on Friday 10th of Jan. One may stand as a candidate by filling an electronic form found at TYY website (www.tyy.fi) by Monday 20th of Jan at 23.59. The Specialist for Academic Affairs will draft a proposal for TYY Executive Board on the elected. TYY Executive Board will make the decision on student representatives in January.

In the election of student representatives, attention will be paid, for example, on previous experience from associations, from the administration of higher education institutions and from interest promotion, on motivation and commitment to the task, on balanced representation of faculties, departments and programs, and balanced gender distribution in the organ.

According to TYY’s regulation, people with the right to complete a lower university degree, higher university degree, licentiate or doctoral degree, specialist degree in medicine or specialist degree in dental science in the University of Turku are eligible for application. The eligible applicant must also be registered present in the university. Those with a full-time employment with the university are not eligible, as defined in the election rules of the University of Turku.
