The student union of the University of Turku has committed to donating 0.7 percent of its annual budget to development cooperation and humanitarian aid. The grant must be used for 2025 operations. TYY is now looking for one or more donation destinations for 2025.
Projects we are looking for must meet the following criteria:
- Projects focuses on humanitarian and/or development aid
- Projects supports the UN Agenda 2030 goals
- Projects takes into account the groups in the weakest position in society
- Project reporting is verifiable
- The applicant has a valid money collection permit
How to apply:
Complete the application form by April 14th 2025 by 23.59 PM. The form will open April 4th 2025 when the application period starts. TYY's executive board decides on projects selected from the applications and informs all applicants of their selection during April. The amount will be paid in two installments for selected organisations/projects, and the first payment will be made in May. Organizations must submit a short report on its activities by the end of September (September 30th, 2025). The second installment will be paid in October. An organization that previously received or applied for TYY 0.7% support can also participate in the application, but we prefer applicants who have not previously received TYY 0.7% grant.
The applications are preferred in English.
